The Clock is Ticking for Interns By Tim Hodson

The deadline to apply for the 2013 GPN/Nexus Intern of the year scholarship is just three weeks away.

If you know a college student who has participated in a horticulture-related internship program and would like to receive a check for $3,000; travel and lodging to 2013 OFA Short Course including a full registration to Short Course; and a feature article about him or her in the January 2013 issue of GPN, then tell them they have until Oct. 22 to apply.

Each year for the past 13 years, GPN and Nexus Greenhouse Corp. have been recognizing a college student who has successfully completed a university-sanctioned horticulture related internship. We are looking for the industry’s future all-stars who may potentially become one of GPN’s 40 Under 40 honorees once they enter the working world!

If you know a special intern, please tell them that the clock is tick, tick, ticking.
