Happy Earth Day! By Tim Hodson

If you haven’t heard already, today is Earth Day.

According to www.earthday.org, in 2013, more that 1 billion people in 192 countries will be celebrating Earth Day! This year marks the 43rd anniversary of Earth Day – reportedly “the largest secular event in the world.”

As part of Earth Day “festivities,” more than 100 million school children around the world learn about the importance of clean air and water. In the United States, thousands of federal, state and local governments will issue reports about their environmental achievements and make pledges to improve their environmental performance and invest in green technology.

Is your company doing anything to commemorate Earth Day today? How about your customers? Drop me a line at thodson@greatamericanpublish.com and let me know what kind of Earth Day activities you and your company are involved in.

You can learn more about Earth Day at www.earthday.org.
