Searching for This Year’s HeroBy Tim Hodson

Do you know someone who is truly making a lasting impression and a real difference in our industry? Someone whose contributions are helping to move the horticulture industry forward?

If you know an individual that is paving the way for the advancement of our industry then we want to hear about him or her because that person could be GPN’s 2013 Hort Hero.

For the past three years, GPN has recognized a person for their dedication and commitment to the betterment of horticulture. Previous Hort Hero honorees include Ken Altman, the late Jack Williams and Dr. Charlie Hall. Ken, Jack and Charlie are industry champions who have “moved the needle” and helped drive our industry.

Their hard work, enthusiasm and devotion to the industry are incredible and you can read their stories on the Hort Hero page on www.gpnmag.com.

If you know someone like Ken, Jack or Charlie who you think is qualified to be GPN’s 2013 Hort Hero, drop me a line at thodson@greatamericanpublish.com and let me know about him or her and why you think that person should be our Hort Hero.

The deadline for nominations is May 31.

GPN’s 2013 Hort Hero will be announced at OFA Short Course in July and featured in our September issue.
