A New Look in the New Year By Tim Hodson

Have you received your January issue of GPN yet? If you haven’t, it should be landing in your mailbox any day now. When you do receive the issue you will be introduced to our fresh new design for the new year.

GPNJan_CoverGPN is turning 26 in 2016, so we wanted to update our look. Our goal is still to provide you with the how-to, what-with information to help you do your job and compete in today’s marketplace. But we also want to make sure we present that information to you in an appealing and contemporary format.

As you can see in the photo of the January cover, we have a new logo that really stands out and grabs your attention. And as soon as you open your January issue, you will notice that we have updated our color palette and fonts to provide you with an easy-to-read, modern look and feel.

We’ve also added a couple of new columns for the new year. The “40 Under 40 Perspectives” column will be written by alumni of GPN’s 40 Under 40 program to provide you with their unique viewpoints on what is happening in our industry. And Ann Chase and Mike Zemke will be writing the “Crossroads” column to address the technical and business issues that growers must deal with in their operations.

Once you’ve received your January issue and you had a chance to check it out, drop me a line at thodson@greatamericanpublish.com and let me know what you think.
