The Gift of Time
Time is a precious commodity.
It is one of those things that people always wish they had more of, but rarely do they get it.
Well, we are giving you some more time — one week to be exact — to get your nominations in for GPN’s 40 Under 40 Class of 2017.
You now have until next Monday, Jan. 30, to nominate a young industry superstar for this year’s class.
We began accepting nominations back in November, but now we are coming down to the finish line. If you want to nominate someone this year, you must get their nomination in by next Monday at the absolute latest.
Every May issue of GPN since 2012 has featured 40 individuals who are horticulture rock stars helping to determine where our industry is headed. Now we are looking for the next 40.
If you know someone who you feel belongs in this year’s class, then we want to know more about that individual.
It’s really very easy. To nominate somebody for the Class of 2017 just go to www.gpnmag.com/40-under-40-nomination and fill out the form.
You can nominate anyone in the horticulture industry that is under the age of 40 (as of Jan. 31, 2017). Previously nominated individuals who have not been selected in prior years can be nominated again as long as they have not yet turned 40.
And be sure to go to the 40 Under 40 page on www.gpnmag.com, if you would like to learn more about some of the alums from our previous classes. It’s an amazing collection of men and women.
It’s not often that you find extra time on your hands, but you have it now so why not nominate a young superstar for the Class of 2017!
P.S. I had a chance to escape the unseasonably warm (but very gray) winter weather in Chicago last week and head to sunny Ft. Lauderdale, Florida for the the 2017 edition of the Tropical Plant Industry Exhibition. Be sure to check out the GPN Facebook page to see some of the colorful Scenes from 2017 TPIE!
