    Hortica Announces New Board Chair and Member

    Hortica Insurance & Employee Benefits, specialists in providing business insurance, employee benefits and personal insurance to the horticultural industry since 1987, recently announced a new chairman and new member on its board of directors.

    Todd Bachman, chairman and CEO of Bachman’s Inc., a Minnesota-based floral, gift, garden and nursery retailer and wholesaler, took effect as the new chairman of the board on Feb. 26, 2008. Bachman replaced former Chairman M. James Leider. Leider remains on the board for the completion of his term, which expires in February 2009. Randy Tagawa, CEO of Colorado-based Tagawa Greenhouse Enterprises, also joins the board as a new member.
