AAS Summer/Fall Summit Scheduled for October
Registration is now open for All-America Selections Summer/Fall Summit. “Urban Ag Opportunities” will take place Oct. 5-8, in Dallas, Texas.
The Summer/Fall Summit is being held in partnership with the Home Garden Seed Association.

A welcome reception is scheduled for scheduled for the evening of Oct. 5 and then on Tuesday, Oct. 6, the first stop is the Dallas branch of the Texas A&M AgriLife Research & Extension Center. Attendees will visit their Water-Wise demonstration home as well as their “Food 3.0” sustainable ag project.
After a Texas-style lunch served at the North Haven Garden Center, the next stop is at the 66-acre Dallas Arboretum for a tour of the 2015 AAS Trials as well their award-winning gardens. That evening the annual AAS Awards Banquet will take place.
On Oct. 7, attendees will travel to Fort Worth to visit the Fort Worth Botanic Garden to see the AAS Display and Japanese Garden. Lunch today is at the trendy Clear Fork Food Park then the tour will head to the Botanical Research Institute of Texas for a tour and the HGSA roundtable discussion on market trends, industry concerns and opportunities.
On Oct. 8, the focus is on the Downtown Dallas area with a tour of Ruibals Rosemeade Market, including HGSA members container trials, located next to the Dallas Farmers Market. After lunch, there will be an NGB panel presentation from several of Dallas urban ag visionaries. That afternoon, continue on to Ruibals production facility to review the extensive plantings of 2015 HGSA summer trials. Time permitting, well make a quick stop at the Klyde Warren Park and Parkland Hospitals Therapy Garden before finishing our 2015 event with an HGSA evening of camaraderie and dining in Dallas up and coming Greenville Street neighborhood.
Full Registration is available for $395 and single day options are $200 per day. The host hotel is the Embassy Suites Market Center.
