Summit, Ball Team Up On Biodegradable Pots

Summit Plastic Co. and Ball Horticultural Co. are partnering to make biodegradable, compostable pots. Summit will be the exclusive distributor this new Ball product, Circle of Life pots. This product supports a sustainable horticultural program and will make “going green” easier for growers.

The Circle of Life pots are made of rice hulls and are available in six sizes: 3.5 in. (9 cm), 4 in. (10 cm), 4.5 in. (11 cm), 5 in. (13 cm), 6 in. (15 cm) and trade gallon. They can be branded as part of the Circle of Life program or be plain without a brand and there are matching filling trays for each size available. To make faster, more economical shipping, there are two distribution locations in the U.S.: Akron, Ohio and Seattle, Washington.
