Dow AgroSciences Creates New Position: Nursery Specialist

Dow AgroSciences recently named Raymond Miller as nursery specialist for the nursery and green house markets. In this newly created position, Miller will provide technical support and customized training to Dow’s nursery and greenhouse customers.

Miller has more than 20 years of experience in the turf and ornamental industry and bachelor’s and master’s degrees in agronomy from Texas A&M University. Before joining Dow AgroSciences in 2001, Miller worked for Rohm & Haas and Ciba-Geigy.

Ball Horticulture Introduces ‘My Easy Planter’

Ball Horticultural Company recently introduced a new plantable container, My Easy Planter.

The container was designed to save time for consumers and reduce transplant shock on plants. It can be planted directly into containers as a ready-made combination, and the slotted design allows roots to grow into the soil. My Easy Planter also works as a carry tray for 4-inch pots or Ellepots. A version made from biodegradable rice hulls is also available and holds seven pots or Ellepots.
