Mid-Am Board of Directors Elects First Female President
For the first time in its history, the Mid-America Horticultural Trade Show has elected a woman to serve a one-year term as president of its board of directors: Barbara Rosborough of Rosborough Partners, Inc. in Libertyville, Ill. The Board of Directors is made up of representatives from Mid-Am’s three sponsoring organizations: the Illinois Green Industry Association, Illinois Landscape Contractors Association and the Wisconsin Green Industry Federation. ASCFG Releases 2010 Buyers Guide
The Association of Specialty Cut Flower Growers recently released its 2010 buyers guide, which features cut flower growers from the United States and Canada who supply to retail and wholesale buyers, event planners and floral designers. ASCFG members produce fresh and dried flowers, herbs, bulbs, and flowering and fruiting branches, including many flowers not readily available through traditional wholesale or import channels. The publication includes growers who service regional and local markets, as well as those that ship nationally.
