Berger Peat Moss Receives VeriFlora Certification
Berger Peat Moss, an ISO 9001 certified business since 1996, now proudly displays a new certification for the management of their peat-harvesting sites, VeriFlora – Responsibly Managed Peatland. The certification was recently developed in a collaborative effort among members of the scientific community, environmental organizations, government departments related to the peatland sector and the peat industry.
“To ensure the consistency and quality of our products, ISO 9001:2008 standards are useful for our internal operations and they inspire confidence among our clients,” said Tony Dumont, quality supervisor. “Now with VeriFlora standards, environmental and social monitoring is assured and validated by an auditor.”
