Ecke Ranch Hires New Key Account Sales Manager

Ralph Zendejas has joined the Ecke Ranch sales team as key accounts sales manager-Central region. In this role, he will assume responsibility of the Central area of the United States sales territory reporting directly to Tom Hennessey, national sales director.

Zendejas has been working in the horticulture industry for 11 years. He graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Horticulture. Prior to Ecke, Ralph was account manager with Hines Nurseries.

Fine Americas Launches New Piccolo 10 XC

Fine Americas Inc. recently announced the launch of Piccolo 10 XC for use on bedding plants. Featuring a 4 percent concentration of paclobutrazol, new Piccolo 10 XC reportedly is 10 times stronger than current 0.4 percent formulations of the popular plant growth regulator.

Piccolo 10 XC is a user-friendly product that is convenient to mix, handle and store. One quart of new Piccolo 10 XC equals 2.5 gallons of the standard Piccolo® formulation. Piccolo 10 XC also is manufactured under ISO 9001 quality control standards.

New Sirocco Miticide/Insecticide Now Available

OHP Inc. recently announced the immediate availability of Sirocco miticide/insecticide to nursery and greenhouse growers and landscapers through authorized OHP distributors.

Sirocco is a broad-spectrum miticide and insecticide that provides growers with a unique tool for some hard to control greenhouse and nursery pests. It is labeled for control of a variety of mites including two-spotted spider mite, spruce spider mite, cyclamen mite, broad mite, bud mite and southern red mite. Additionally, Sirocco provides control of insects such as leafminers in addition to providing suppression of aphids, thrips and whitefly.

Sirocco can be used on ornamental plants such as bedding plants, foliage plants, bulb crops perennials, shrubs and trees, including non-bearing fruit trees, grown in greenhouses, shadehouses, nurseries, landscapes and interiorscapes.
