In two weeks, many of us will be strolling through rows of top quality genetics during California Spring Trials. Hearing about the new genetics being released and how breeders are able to change different growing habits and physical characteristics is always fascinating. 

My favorite conversations are those that surround a new variety that wasn’t expected to be a visitor favorite during trials and is now being released as a top performer. Consumer trends are ever-changing and it’s intriguing to watch them develop over time.
