Danziger recently announced that its varieties earned four awards at the Proflora exhibition in Bogota, Columbia.

Danziger selections were recognized in two breeder contest categories, other species and spray chrysanthemum.

In the breeder contest category Other Species, first place went to the newest Gypsophila variety – Cosmic. Cosmic recently joined the Gypsophila collection. It is a large size flower and the most white seen so far.

Scabiosa Blackberry Scoop, a unique dark-colored variety, earned third place. It is part of a delicious series of colorful flowers to be newly introduced in South America.

In the breeder contest category Spray Chrysanthemum, third prize went to the brand-new Chrysanthemum variety Can Can, which was commercialized just recently and introduced for the first time at the Proflora exhibition. Can Can is a daisy-shaped flower with a vibrant purple color that will add a touch of color to any flower arrangement.

The cushion spray Chrysanthemum, Code 8193, took second place in the breeder contest category with its dark burgundy color and abundance of flowers on each stem.

“We were proud to reveal our newest varieties in our cut flower collection. There is no better way to get the acknowledgment of our work than winning in this competition. It gives us the boost to continue doing what we do best – innovate!” says Gaby Danziger, co-general manager.
