Good Times or Bad Times This Time of Year By Tim Hodson

Doesn’t it always seem like the weekend just flies by when you get to work on Monday morning?

And it really seems to fly by every March when daylight saving (there is no “s” on saving) time rolls around – like it did this weekend.

Some people love springing forward and falling back every year, while others find it confusing and somewhat frustrating.

A few years ago, U.S. News & World Report published “12 Things You Probably Didn’t Know About Daylight Saving Time” to explain how this change in time can impact a person’s health. Check out the list and see how much you know about DST and how it impacts you.

Are you a fan of daylight saving time? Are you more productive this week or does it take you a while to adapt to the time change?

Drop me a line at thodson@greatamericanpublish.com and let me know if these are good times or bad times for you this week.

Scholarship Applications Due Friday

Don’t forget, the deadline to apply for the Glenn Goldsmith Breeding Excellence Scholarship and the Goldsmith Seeds Floriculture Business Advancement Scholarship is THIS FRIDAY, MARCH 13!

Syngenta Flowers will be awarding $7,500 for each of these scholarships to a college student who has shown high potential in the field of plant breeding or in ornamental horticulture.

If you know a student who may be interested in applying for one of these two generous scholarships, let them know that time is running out.

All of the details for applying for these scholarships can be found by clicking here.
