A Grand Visit to Southern California By Tim Hodson

Last week, I was in southern California to attend EuroAmerican Propagators’ June Bloom Symposium.

The two-day event took place at the Grand Tradition Estate & Gardens in Fallbrook, Calif. The Grand Tradition was recently named a Proven Winners Signature Garden.

The June Bloom Symposium is an annual event hosted by EuroAmerican for horticultural brokers, nurseries, plant breeders, retailers, garden writers, garden clubs, landscape architects, designers and contractors. It provides attendees with a preview of EuroAmerican’s new products, programs, brands and services for the upcoming year.

The gardens at the Grand Tradition were beautiful. The 25-acre estate had previously only been open for private events but it is now an amazing public garden that is open year-round. As the facilities website says, visitors can experience “densely planted gardens, profuse with exotic floral scents, sparkling waterfalls and award-winning displays of colorful botanicals.” You get to experience all of that and a whole lot more. Many different EuroAmerican and Proven Winners varieties also were on display along with thousands of other botanicals planted throughout the grounds.

If you are ever in the Fallbrook area, you should check out the Grand Tradition. If you can’t make it there, I’ve posted some pictures of the beautiful gardens as well as some of the highlights from the June Bloom Symposium on the GPN Facebook page.
