Greenhouse Production Short Course To Meet In ArizonaSource: University of Arizona

The University of Arizona’s Greenhouse Crop Production and Engineering Design short course will convene Jan 14-17, 2007, at the Doubletree Hotel in Tucson, Ariz. This is the seventh year for the short course and is sponsored by the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Controlled Environment Agriculture Center.

Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with leading greenhouse experts and be provided with a “roadmap” and the knowledge necessary to develop a successful greenhouse operation.

The Greenhouse Crop Production and Engineering Design short course will be followed by the Growers Marketing Forum (GMF3), Jan. 17-19, also at the Doubletree Hotel. The GMF3 gives growers important insights and knowledge on how to succeed in the vegetable and specialty crop marketplace. Attendees will learn from the experts about entry into wholesale and retail markets, optimal market sizes and types, distribution, branding and packaging. Also included is a tour to a greenhouse tomato production and packing facility.
