Have You Made Your Plans Yet?

May 20, 2013 - 08:48

Even though this is a crazy time in the greenhouse, it's never too early to start thinking about 2013 OFA Short Course.

Believe it or not, Short Course is just a little more than a month-and-a-half away. It will meet July 13 to 16 in the Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio.

The OFA Short Course educational program is packed with learning opportunities for everyone — from the novice level all the way up to the CEO. And the sold-out trade show floor is filled with the newest varieties and latest products to help you do your job!

If you didn't already know, OFA's registration and hotel reservation system is up and running, so you can sign up today!

And on July 14, I will be hosting/moderating a special Mix 'n Mingle Session with some of the members of 40 Under 40 Class of 2013 that were introduced in the May issue of GPN. This session will take place at 10:45 in Ballroom 2. If you'd like to meet some of the industry's movers and shakers, be sure to stop by and say, "Hi!"

Don't Delay, Nominate Today

Don't forget, we are still looking for nominations for GPN's 2013 Hort Hero.

If you know an individual who is truly making a lasting impression and a real difference in our industry, then we want to hear about him or her. We are looking for that special someone whose contributions are helping to move the horticulture industry forward.

If you think you know someone who might qualify, drop me a line at thodson@sgcmail.com and let me know more about that person.

The deadline for nominations is May 31, 2013.

We will announce this year's Hort Hero on Hort TV at OFA Short Course and feature him or her in our September issue.
