At the 2011 OFA Plug and Cutting Conference in San Jose, Philips LED Horticulture announced that Hort Americas has signed on as its first certified partner for North and Central America.At the 2011 OFA Plug and Cutting Conference in San Jose, Philips LED Horticulture announced that Hort Americas has signed on as its first certified partner for North and Central America.

Hort Americas general manager, Chris Higgins, along with Udo van Slooten, Philips LED Horticulture’s director, and Erik Jansen, international key account manager, made the relationship official by signing the partnership contract on Sept. 13, 2011.

The ceremony took place at the Philips booth at the 2011 OFA Plug and Cutting Conference at the San Jose Doubletree Hotel in California.

Hort Americas is the first certified Philips LED Horticulture partner in North and Central America, as well as the first partner outside Europe. Hort Americas’ staff has been trained by the Philips team to implement LED solutions.

Philips’ partnership program creates a worldwide network and allows growers to work with a certified partner in their own region who are trained in engineering, light recipes and programs to create the best possible light recipes for every growth situation.
