Angelonia
Pink and White are two new additions to the SunDancer series of low-maintenance annuals bred for heat tolerance and extended season performance. Upright and vigorous, SunDancers are an ideal choice for height in combination planters.
In propagation, SunDancer varieties take four weeks to root. Bottom heat will enhance uniformity in rooting. Rooting hormone is not required. Stick one cutting per cell. Avoid excessive misting, which will slow rooting. Pinch cuttings in week 2 to encourage branching. Growth regulation will prevent stretch. Apply a tank mix of 2,500-ppm B-Nine (daminozide) and 1,000-ppm Cycocel (chlormequat chloride) on days 7-10.
Transplant cutting to 4-inch, 6-inch or 1-gallon containers. Grow plants at an average daily temperature of 66-70° F. Pinch once established, approximately one week after transplanting. Angelonia are not photoperiod sensitive, and lighting is not required for flowering in early spring. Fertilize using a well-balanced fertilizer containing 200- to 250-ppm nitrogen.

Dahlia
‘Dahlinova Hypnotica Bronze Bicolor’ and ‘Dahlinova Hypnotica White’ are two new varieties in this large-flowered uniform series. They boast good branching and a vigorous plant habit.
Plant unrooted cuttings deep at least up to the first set of leaves. Keep plants well misted until root initials appear. Rooting temperature should be about 70° F, and average rooting time is three weeks.
Growing mix should be well drained with sufficient moisture retention to prevent daily wilting. Optimum pH is 5.8-6.2. Thoroughly moisten growing mix with each irrigation or fertigation. Allow plants to dry slightly between irrigations. Do not over water. Do not allow plants to wilt or leaf margin can occur.
Good crop growth is obtained with 200- to 250-ppm nitrogen fertigation from a complete N-P-K water-soluble fertilizer. The majority of nitrogen should be in the nitrate form. Avoid high ammonia or urea fertilizers, which can reduce plant quality by encouraging soft, stretched growth. Crop time is seven to nine weeks.
