Industries Come Together for Sustainable Water SolutionsSource: Sustainable Agriculture Partnerships

Faced with looming challenges created by population increases, climate change and natural resource scarcity, some of the agribusiness and food industries’ biggest companies will join forces for the Sustainable Agriculture Partnerships Summit, which will take place Aug. 10 and 11 in San Francisco.

The summit will include participation from companies including Syngenta, Nestle and Bayer, as well as from farmers and growers from California and other leading farming states.

Sustainability of water resources will be the main focus of the two-day conference. In addition to hearing from corporate participants about their efforts, growers and other attendees will learn about water-usage reduction, management of biological impacts in stream, energy usage and improving soil fertility.
