McConkey Adds StaffSource: McConkey Co.

McConkey Co. has announced plans for increased focus on the intermountain states of Idaho, Utah, Montana and portions of Washington and Colorado. The effort begins with hiring Derek Upham as account manager servicing the territory. Upham has more than 30 years of horticulture experience that most recently includes plant and hard good sales at Grimes Horticulture and seed and vegetative product sales at Syngenta Horticultural Services. His career also includes sales and management positions with Eason’s Horticultural Resources, Vaughan’s Seed Company, ICI Americas and others. He holds a master’s degree in agricultural science and a bachelor’s degree in ornamental horticulture from California Polytechnic State University.
