New President Named at Smith GardensSource: Smith Gardens, Inc.

Smith Gardens, Inc. has appointed Eric Smith as the new president of Smith Gardens and its subsidiary company Pacific Plug & Liner. Eric held the position of vice president of development since 1997 and has served as general manager of the Aurora, Ore. Smith Gardens facility as well as the Watsonville, Calif., Pacific Plug & Liner facility.

Eric is replacing Terry Smith, president of Smith Gardens since 1993, who is stepping down to pursue his love of plants, travel, family and climbing. Terry will remain active in the company by acting as chairman of the board of directors. Other members of the senior leadership team include Mark Smith, vice president of production and operations; David Edenfield, vice president of sales and marketing; and Douglas Ward, chief financial officer.

Smith Gardens, Inc. has been serving Northwest gardeners with bedding plants for over 100 years. Current facilities are in Bellingham, Wash.; Marysville, Wash.; Aurora, Ore. and Watsonville, Calif.
