AFE Fundraising Dinner Set For SeptemberSource: American Floral Endowment

The American Floral Endowment’s annual fundraising dinner will take place Sept. 20, 2012, at the Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach, Fla. in conjunction with the Society of American Florists convention.

Organizers are inviting growers, retail florists, wholesalers, and other industry members to attend.

Last year more than 200 industry members attended the dinner and more than $275,000 in donations was raised. Herman and LaDonna Meinders presented AFE with a $250,000 check, which has been used to create AFE’s first unrestricted named fund.

AFE is looking for sponsors to lend their names and financial support to the event. Sponsorships help AFE offset the fundraising dinner expenses, allowing more funding for research, grants and scholarships.
