Floriculture and horticulture students are encouraged to apply for more than 20 AFE scholarships. The deadline for submissions is May 1.

The deadline for floriculture and horticulture students to submit applications through the American Floral Endowment (AFE) is May 1. College students from sophomore through senior year, as well as graduate students, are encouraged to apply for the more than 20 scholarships available. For 2013, AFE will award more than $34,000 in scholarships to students. “Students are tomorrow’s leaders, and an investment in their future is an investment in the floriculture industry,” said Debi Aker, AFE executive director. Complete descriptions of each AFE scholarship offered – including three new scholarships – along with the application and requirements can be found on the AFE website. Applications and supporting materials must be submitted online and received by the May 1 deadline. To learn more, visit www.endowment.org.
