AIPH Plans Global Plant Health Discussion
The International Association of Horticultural Producers (AIPH) invites growers and industry associations from around the world to join its discussion on the plant health challenges facing growers in different countries.
The meeting, which will take place on Jan. 23, in Ratingen, near Dusseldorf in Germany, will hear presentations from Europe, North and South America and Asia on the challenges for growers, what is being done and what needs to change.
Martin Ward, director general of the European and Mediterranean Plant Protection Organization (EPPO) will discuss the role of the organization and how it can work more closely with industry to reduce plant health threats.
In addition, presentations from AIPH members will take place on ‘Green City’ initiatives in their countries and an opportunity to network with trade organization leaders from around the globe.
Those attending also have the option to join a trip to the nearby IPM Essen 2017 trade fair and to enjoy the AIPH International Grower of the Year Awards 2017 gala dinner in Essen on Jan. 24.
