All-America Selections Announces Another 2011 WinnerSource: All-America Selections

All-America Selections has announced another winner for 2011, pepper ‘Orange Blaze’ bred by Seminis. Although colored peppers can be difficult to grow, this sweet orange bell pepper does not have that problem.

All-America Selections has announced another winner for 2011, approved during the recent AAS Board of Directors meeting. With this announcement, this variety joins the seven announced last November and is available for immediate sale and distribution. For a complete list of AAS winners, AAS display gardens and AAS trial ground locations, please go to the AAS website.

The additional 2011 AAS winner in the Vegetable category is pepper ‘Orange Blaze’, bred by Seminis. Although colored peppers can be difficult to grow, this sweet orange bell pepper solves that problem. This variety proved itself a winner due to early maturity, sweet flavor and disease resistance. It matured to a beautiful orange color earlier than the comparisons. Expect very sweet flavor at full orange color about 65 to 70 days from transplant.

More specific data on this year’s winners can be found here.
