America in Bloom Webinar to Take Place This WeekSource: America in Bloom

America in Bloom will present part one of a free two-part webinar series on “More Than Just Pretty! AIB Benefits Communities in Diverse Ways” this Wednesday, March 21.

Presented by Texas A&M’s Dr. Charlie Hall, the 30-minute webinar will take place at 2 p.m. EDT.

Communities that have participated in America in Bloom have all benefited directly from the beautification of their surroundings. But the benefits of AIB extend beyond the expected aesthetic benefits. Peoples’ lives are changed significantly in terms of the economic, environmental, and health/well-being benefits of flowers, shrubs, and trees.

This webinar will provide thought-provoking evidence of the power of plants and why they are necessities in our lives and not mere luxuries!

Part one of this two-part series covers the economic, environmental, and health benefits of plants at large. Part two will be presented April 18 and focuses primarily on the economic, environmental, and health benefits of plants to homeowners.
