American Beauties Native Plants has teamed up with Country Garden magazine and author/landscape designer Scott Calhoun to give away a wildlife waystation valued at $7,500. The contest will appear in the spring, summer and fall issues of the magazine and through social media. The winner will receive a garden design consultation and installation with Calhoun (Zona Gardens), a water feature and native plants courtesy of American Beauties. Calhoun comments: “”My goal is to design a wildlife waystation that is a favorite spot in the garden for animals and humans. With color, water, and native plants, I expect the wildlife waystation to become a hub of activity and a focal point.” A successful wildlife waystation needs to provide wildlife with regionally appropriate native plants, a clean source of water, shelter and a place for them to raise its young.
