ANLA Tour Highlights Chicago’s Top NurseriesSource: ANLA

Want to discover the next great idea in nurseries? Then register now for the 2007 Kick the Dirt Tour, organized by the The American Nursery & Landscape Association’s (ANLA) grower division.

The 3-day event, to take place Sept. 25-27, will showcase some of Chicagoland’s most innovative nurseries, as well as the techniques and equipments that make the difference.

It kicks off on Tuesday with a full tour of The Morton Arboretum, educational sessions and private welcome reception at the world famous arboretum, known for its comprehensive collection of woody plants spanning 1,700 acres.

Other host sites include Hinsdale Nurseries, Kendall Hill Nursery, Midwest Groundcovers, Kaneville Tree Farm, Kankakee Nursery and Wilson Nurseries.

Early bird registration ends Aug. 22. The tour is limited to 150 ANLA members on a first-come, first-served basis. Full payment is required upon registration.

ANLA is also offering a Landscape Operations Tour that will take place Sept. 18-22 in Long Island, N.Y. Attendees will get an eyeful of the area’s high-end and unique residential design.

The Landscape Operations Tour offers a mix of designer-guided garden tours, niche perennial nursery visits, coastal architecture and garden design, practical work showcases from design and building companies and a series of discussions on the major issues facing design/install companies.
