Poppelmann Begins Production At New Plant

Poppelmann Plastics USA has begun production at its new factory, located on a 30-acre site in the Claremont International Business Park in Claremont, N.C. The facility will produce thermoformed and injection-molded horticultural pots and related products for the company’s TEKU division.

The plant spans 55,000 sq.ft. of production and warehousing space. In addition to producing TEKU containers, the operation will also include offset printing and labeling of pots. The start-up staff includes about three dozen people and officials project that the number will grow to 50 office and production personnel.
