Real Estate Open House Approaching for Aris Turnkey-Condition Growing Facility

Aris Horticulture, Inc., formerly Yoder Brothers, is selling its growing facility in Pendleton, S.C. and invites all interested parties to a real estate open house on Tuesday, April 27. The structures and facilities are being professionally maintained by Aris and is listed with McCoy-Wright Realty, Inc. The more than 56-acre property includes more than 9 acres of greenhouses, 6.3 acres of total growing area (including outdoors), a 100 percent water recapturing/treatment system (wit a 2.5-acre lined pond), complete backup systems and nearly 75,000 square feet of office and warehouse space. Leonardo Academy Welcomes Two New Sustainability Standard Committee Members

Leonardo Academy recently announces the appointment of two new members to the National Sustainable Agriculture Standards Committee: Michelle Wander of the Soil and Water Conservation Society and Jody Endres of the University of Illinois Energy Biosciences Institute. Wander brings nearly 30 years of experience in soil science, agroecology and farming-systems research to the committee and is already actively engaged in the review of Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) tools for conservation programs. Endres contributes a background in agriculture and more than a decade of expertise in agricultural, environmental and food law. Her current research focuses on sustainability standards for agriculture, particularly biomass. She is the EBI’s representative to the Roundtable on Sustainable Biofuels and has been nominated by EBI to serve on the EPA Agricultural Advisory Committee.
