Andy Lee Named COO of Valent USA Corp.

Valent USA Corp announced recently that Andy Lee has been hired as its new executive vice president and chief operating officer. Lee will assume his new role on Dec. 12, according to Mike Donaldson, president and chief executive officer of Valent USA Corp., Valent BioSciences Corp. and Sumitomo Chemical Latin America.

During his career, Lee has worked with a number of noteworthy crop protection companies marketing both traditional and biorational products, said Donaldson.

In his new position, Lee will oversee day-to-day operations for the company’s growing agricultural, professional and consumer products business units in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Lee will be based in Walnut Creek, Calif., working closely with Donaldson and the Valent de Mexico and Valent USA leadership teams.

Chester Bammel Joins SBI Software

Chester Bammel has joined SBI Software, Portland, Ore., as production manager/support.

Bammel will be based in Texas and is responsible for production management, report writing, training and support. Bammel is is a well-established grower and has a fluent background in production management software support and development.

The American Floral Endowment Hires Communications Specialist

The American Floral Endowment (AFE) welcomes Elisabeth George as the new communications specialist, a newly created position. Elisabeth brings more than six years of nonprofit and agency experience to the position, and holds a Master’s Degree in Public Relations from the George Washington University.

Elisabeth will be working closely with AFE Manager Debi Aker to implement AFE’s new communications plan that includes media relations, AFE’s quarterly newsletter and press releases, social media engagement and website projects.
