Monrovia Honors 50th Anniversary of Sales Pro

Monrovia, a leading grower of premium garden plants, celebrated the 50th anniversary of one of its sales craftsmen, Lee Larson. At just 15 years old, Larson started at the Azusa, Calif.-based Monrovia as a sales trainee, and was promoted to inside sales at age 18. Just four years later, he was awarded a sales territory, leaving the California-based nursery and moving to Ohio, where he covered much of the Northeastern United States and Eastern Canada.

“Back in the 1960s, we were still expanding into the Eastern part of the country, and Lee was instrumental in opening up and establishing those sales territories,” said Miles Rosedale, CEO. “Throughout our history, Monrovia has strived to have the best sales force and customer service in the industry. Thanks to talented people like Lee Larson, we’ve been able to build that reputation.”

Larson was honored at a recent company sales meeting with a commemorative plaque. He will continue to cover the southern Ohio territory for Monrovia.
