ASCFG Conference Promises to Engage, Explore and EntertainSource: ASCFG

After a long, hot summer of nonstop work, wouldn’t you like to have a cool fall getaway? The Association of Specialty Cut Flower Growers’ (ASCFG) National Conference & Trade Show is the perfect opportunity. Help the ASCFG celebrate its 20th anniversary from Sept. 8 to 11 at its Portland conference, and tour the Oregon coast in the backdrop of Mount Hood.

The conference will start with a day of grower’s school, where attendees will be educated on topics ranging from finance to soil and irrigation. Several hands-on activities and a Q&A session will also round out the day.

The following days will include tours of flower farms in the Tillamook region and the Willamette Valley. Experts will present new varieties and trends in the industry and a short trade show will offer attendees an opportunity to browse vendors and expand their networks.

Aside from experiencing Oregon’s best and learning from the experts, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in competitions and other leisurely activities. Whether you test your skills in the Floral Design Competition, or chat over a glass of wine aboard the cruise on the Columbia Gorge, you are sure to find an activity to help you unwind.
