Last Week, Berger and Theriault & Hachey Peat Moss announced the signature of a strategic alliance involving the transfer of harvesting rights of a bog in the Baie- Sainte-Anne region, in New-Brunswick, Canada.

This new bog allows Berger to ensure the continuity of its Baie-Sainte-Anne and Bay du Vin facilities for the next 40 years.

“We are very pleased with this alliance. It gives us access to top-quality peat,” explained Claudin Berger, CEO.

“This alliance enables our company to pursue its operations independently and therefore continue to serve our customers for years to come,” added Gary Williston, president of Theriault & Hachey.

Because the bog is now under the governance of Berger, it becomes Veriflora certified, a certification for the responsible management of peatlands.
