Green Leaf Plants Announces Open HouseSource: Green Leaf Plants

Green Leaf Plants recently announced its 2009 Open House, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. EST on June 24 at its Smoketown, Pa., facility. There will be activities for attendees all day on site, both in the garden and in the greenhouse.

Registration and continental breakfast will begin at 8:30, followed by morning activities. In the gardens, attendees can tour at their own pace, view new and recent perennial varieties from Blooms of Bressingham and other breeders – and compare them side-by-side with other commercial varieties. In the greenhouse, there will be guided tours all day as well as information on perennial propagation, production, shipping and lean horticulture systems, and an opportunity to see Green Leaf and Keepsake Plants, including perennials, azaleas, hibiscus, mandevilla, exacum and roses.

Lunch will be served from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., followed by more opportunities in the afternoon to explore and see what’s new at Green Leaf – just in time for ordering season.

The Smoketown facility is located at 2369 Old Philadelphia Pike, Lancaster, PA 17602. To register, contact Green Leaf at (800) 321-9573 ext. 288 or openhouse@glplants.com. For more information, contact Christine Kelleher at (800) 232-9557 ext. 2512.
