Hortifair Brings Grower Open HouseSource: Lekkerkerk Plants

Lekkerkerk Plants in ‘S-Gravendeel, The Netherlands is hosting an open house this coming November during Hortifair at their greenhouses. Lekkerkerk specializes in pot gerberas, having bred the Fortune series.The facility works on breeding, seed production, young plants and production. This will be the 6th open house for Lekkerkerk Plants. The company will have its complete Fortune assortment in comparison with all other pot gerbera selections, including Royal, Festival, Revolution, Living Colors, Jaguar, Floripot and Samurai. New during the open house will be the introduction of F1 mini mixture, improvements of purple and pink, and Lekkerkerk’s new mixture ‘Crazy Colors’.

In addition to the Fortune series Lekkerkerk Plants will be showing all of its varieties, giving grower information, offering all-day catering and showing Allure Plant, a gerbera marketing program.

The Fortune series was introduced in 2000 with all of the varieties being F1. Some of the highlights include good germination and colors, multiple flowers at first flush, a good color mix and suitability for 4- to 6-inch pots.
