Indian Prime Minister Visits Danziger Facility

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi landed and his delegation visited Israel on July 4, to explore possible cooperation with Israel in several fields including agriculture.

The visit, hosted by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the ministry of foreign affairs and Agriculture Minister Uri Ariel, took place at Danziger’s facility at Mishmar Hashiva’a.

The Indian delegation asked to explore advanced and precision agriculture and R&D,  so Danziger was their first visit after landing in Israel. Danziger presented Netanyahu and Modi with an overview of different breeding techniques and revolutionary products.

In honor of India’s Prime Minister, Danziger will launch a new daisy chrysanthemum variety in his name: ‘Modi’.

Ernest and Zehava Danziger, 93-year-old founders of Danziger, welcomed both prime ministers with a bouquet composed of the ‘Modi’ daisy.

“We were very much honored to be chosen as the first place to see, when talking about advanced and precise agriculture,” said Micha Danziger, vhairman of the board. “Being a global company, we watch the rapid development of the Far East, China and India specifically, and are very passionate about exercising business and transnational cooperation, to grow and develop those high potential horticulture markets.”
