Longwood to Host Independent Plant BreedersSource: Longwood Gardens

Longwood Gardens and Garden Genetics will play host to the 2010 Independent Plant Breeders Conference in Kennett Square, Pa., November 3-5. Attendees will have access to pertinent educational opportunities led by a lengthy list of trusted industry experts.

The conference will commence with an evening reception and a private viewing of Longwood’s Chrysanthemum Display in the Conservatory. The following two days will cover a range of topics, which include : selection of plants with commercial potential, interspecific and intergeneric hybridization, how to market new plants and naming plants – to name a few.
