The Board of Directors of the Southeast Greenhouse Conference recently announced that Marvin N. Miller will be awarded the 2007 Horticulture Initiative Award in recognition of his significant contributions to the floriculture industry.

Currently a market research manager at Ball Horticultural Company, Miller says, “The focus of my market research efforts involves researching the structure, conduct and performance of the horticulture industry, with current emphasis on North American floriculture. I travel extensively, visiting both greenhouses and retail establishments. I frequently write about and speak on industry trends affecting our industry.”

Miller, a native of Baltimore, Md., earned his Doctor of Philosophy in Food and Resource Economics from the University of Florida. He received both his B.S. in Horticulture and M.S. in Agricultural Science from Purdue University.
