Mid-Am 2005 Offers New Features
The Mid-Am Horticultural Trade Show has made some additions and improvements for its event held January 19-21, 2005 in Chicago’s Lakeside Center at McCormick Place. New hours, components and features have been added to the program to make attendance more appealing.
Show hours have been expanded to 9-5 on the 19 and 20 and from 9-3 on the 21. A new educational seminar has been added with a pre-show Management Workshop on January 18 at the Hyatt Regency Chicago Hotel. The workshop is designed for industry business owners, managers and foremen to offer a full day of uninterrupted education on marketing, customer service and business success. Some of the featured speakers include Mark Mayberry and Marty Grunder. The workshop will be from 9-4, and lunch is included.
In addition to the new workshop, the Mid-Am is offering the Keynote Address free to all registrants. The address will be held January 19 from 11-12 at the Lakeside Center and will feature motivational speaker Mike McKinley who will share his perspective on “Customer Specialness” and personal motivation.v Mid-Am has also added a new restaurant located below the show floor exclusively for registrants to the Mid-Am show. The Mid-Am Café will feature an expanded menu and will be open from 11-2.
Finally, the Mid-Am Show Directory has been revamped for 2005 to make it easier for attendees to find exhibitors they are looking for. It will also include a new cross-referencing section that lists exhibitors under various product and service categories that the companies provide. Other improvements include a Trade Show Floor Plan, easy-to-find alphabetical listings and more.
