Ball DPF LLC announced its Nature’s Source Organic Plant Food 3-1-1 formulation is now registered by the State of California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) for Organic Input Materials. Through its Feed, Fertilizer and Livestock Drugs Regulatory Services branch, the CDFA promotes the environmentally safe and agronomically sound use and handling of fertilizer materials.

CDFA registration ensures consumers receive fertilizing materials that are safe and effective, and meet the quality and quantity guaranteed by the manufacturer. Nature’s Source Organic Plant Food 3-1-1 is one of the company’s formulations that contain oilseed extract, a natural source of plant nutrition.

“We are pleased that Nature’s Source Organic Plant Food 3-1-1 is registered with the CDFA,” said Chance Finch, general manager of Ball DPF. “We look forward to providing a high quality plant food option to organic growers in the state of California.” The formulation is also OMRI listed, and is available throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Nature’s Source Organic Plant Food 3-1-1 has a low salt index, so it can be fed at higher rates than most organic fertilizers. It can also be used as a foliar mist without worrying about burning or stretching.
