New England Grows Gets RecognitionSource: New England Grows

New England Grows was listed among the top tradeshows in Tradeshow Week’s 32nd edition of Tradeshow Week 200, an annual ranking of the largest shows in North America. New England Grows ranked No. 174 on the list, which was published in April.

The honor was received for New England Grows 2005, the first year the annual educational conference and green industry exposition occupied the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center (BCEC). The 14th annual New England Grows was held earlier this year and attracted 14,200 attendees, packing 500,000 sq.ft. of space with more than 700 exhibitors.

“We are honored that New England Grows has achieved inclusion in the Tradeshow Week 200,” said New England Grows President John Filias, MCLP of Jeffrey’s Creek Land Contractors, Inc. in Manchester, Mass. “This listing by an elite exhibition industry publication significantly raises the profile of New England Grows both within and outside of the green industry.”

For the second year in a row, growth indexes in the Tradeshow Week 200 saw increases across the board. Net square footage and attendance each grew more than 3 percent, while exhibiting companies were up more than 1 percent.

“The consistent growth we’ve seen over the past few years is encouraging,” said Dana Myers, manager at Tradeshow Week. “It’s a strong sign of sustained recovery, proof that tradeshows continue to be an essential part of the marketplace.”

The 15th annual New England Grows will offer learning opportunities for green industry professionals. New England Grows 2007 is scheduled for Tuesday, February 6 through Thursday, February 8, 2006, at the BCEC in Boston, Mass. Complete program information will be available this fall. Interested exhibitors are encouraged to reserve space now. For more information, visit www.negrows.org or call (508) 653-3009.
