New Leaders Elected by FNGLASource: FNGLA

The Florida Nursery, Growers & Landscape Association (FNGLA) has announced the election of new leaders for the upcoming term. FNGLA’s 57th president, president-elect, and secretary/treasurer are now equipped to move ahead and get their hands dirty in the Florida agriculture industry.

New President, Rosemary Warner, of Native Southeastern Trees, Inc., in Osteen, Fla., took the reins from former President, Dave Self, of Wyld West Annuals, Inc., in Loxahatchee, Fla. Warner has been a member of FNGLA’s Board of Directors since 2001 and served as a chapter secretary and vice president as well as two terms as chapter president before that.

President-Elect, Monty Knox of Knox Nursery, Inc., in Winter Garden, Fla., takes his new position with plenty of FNGLA experience under his belt. Knox has been on the board and served as president of his local chapter and chair of FNGLA’s Landscape Show Committee – Florida’s largest nursery/landscape trade show.

Carolan Mahr of Ted Mahr Supply, Inc., in Naples, Fla., will serve as FNGLA’s secretary/treasurer. Mahr is involved with a broad range of FNGLA activities including organizational strategic task forces and marketing and convention planning committees. Among other activities, Mahr has served as chapter director, officer, state representative and president.

The new officials of FNGLA will lead the association representing Florida’s environmental horticulture industry, with an estimated $15.2 billion in industry-wide sales. For more information, visit www.fngla.org or call (800) 375-3642.
