New Perennial Encyclopedia AvailableSource: American Horticultural Society

The American Horticultural Society Encyclopedia of Perennials, published by DK publishing, will be available to growers later this month. The book contains thousands of close-up photos, detailed horticultural information and planting suggestions for more than 6,000 individual species and cultivars – including the newest plant introductions.

More than 40 perennial plant experts from around the world contributed to the book. Graham Rice is the encyclopedia’s editor-in-chief and Kurt Bluemel is contributing editor. Rice has previously published five books on perennials. Bluemel is the founder and CEO of Kurt Bluemel, Inc. and has championed the use of ornamental grasses and herbaceous perennials in the American landscape for more than 40 years.
