OFA Workshop Highlights Keys To SuccessSource: OFA

An educational workshop aimed at helping garden centers make the shopping experience more time and cost effective for busy consumers is slated for Oct. 3 at the Indiana War Memorials Foundation in Indianapolis and Oct. 5 at the Franklin Park Conservatory in Columbus, Ohio.

The workshop, “Retail Success: Five Key Ingredients for Garden Center Success” is sponsored by OFA – an Association of Floriculture Professionals – and the Ohio Nursery & Landscape Association (ONLA).

Ian Baldwin will present a full-day, hands-on workshop to teach garden center owners and managers how to reorganize their retail space to better satisfy customers. Whereas today’s customers are increasingly overwhelmed with choices for stores and products, they are also spending less time shopping, according to OFA.

During the workshop, attendees will learn how to create a shopping experience that is easy and successful, how to get maximum traffic, identify barriers to customer success, increase average sales, and measure and monitor their numbers to increase profits.
