OHP Inc. recently announced the introduction of Marengo herbicide for the production ornamental market.

Marengo has received federal EPA registration, is registered in many key states and is available for immediate shipment through authorized OHP distributors.

Containing the new active ingredient indaziflam, Marengo is a selective pre-emergent herbicide that offers long-term residual control (up to 8 months) of both grassy and broadleaf leaves. It is registered for use on production ornamentals grown in outdoor nurseries, as well as on conifers, Christmas trees, and in ornamental production sites and hardscapes. Marengo is labeled for use in shade houses and hoop houses as well.

A suspension concentrate (SC) formulation, Marengo contains the first active ingredient from MOA (Mode of Action) Group 29. The active ingredient prevents weed seed germination by inhibiting cellulose biosynthesis. Marengo does not move once applied to the soil and does not volatilize.

Marengo is applied as a directed spray to the soil and not over the top of ornamentals.

Please go to www.ohp.com for more information. Refer to www.ohp.com/Products/marengo.php for the latest state registration updates.
