Pen & Petal Increases Service OfferingsSource: Pen & Petal, Inc.

Pen & Petal, Inc., a green industry marketing communication companies, recently announced it has added two new services.

Pen & Petal now offers the development and implementation of a crisis communication plan – a vital component of any successful business. A devastating crop loss, a disease problem, a chemical spill or even a greenhouse fire can throw an operation into a tailspin. Pen & Petal will handle the communications portion of the crisis, allowing business owners to focus on resolving the problem.

“When a crisis hits your business, two things matter most: getting information out fast to those who need to know and ensuring that information is correct,” said Kerstin Ouellet, president of Pen & Petal. “A professional crisis communication plan is the best way to make sure these two things happen.”

As part of the service, Pen & Petal will evaluate a business’ current communication channels, develop a sound communication strategy, create target audience lists with complete contact information, including customers, brokers and media, and identify and train key internal personnel.

“In the case of a crisis, our team is available 24/7 to immediately respond to your emergency,” said Ouellet. “We will create and distribute all necessary communications to employees, customers and the media and handle all media inquiries, giving you the opportunity to do what is most important – handle the crisis itself.”

Pen & Petal is also now offering professional presentation services. The new offering includes the creation of customized PowerPoint presentations; slide conversion to PowerPoint, professionally produced handouts and collateral; experienced public speaking; and ready-made container gardening presentations based on Kerstin Ouellet’s book, Contain Yourself.

“A fear of public speaking or simply a lack of high-impact, creative presentations can really hold a company back,” said Ouellet. “Missing out on the opportunity to present your product or services to a captive audience means missing out on potential sales. We developed our presentations services to help companies showcase themselves and really capitalize on speaking opportunities.”
