Pennsylvania Poinsettia Trials to Take Place Nov. 2

The 2016 Pennsylvania Poinsettia Trials will take place Nov. 2, at the Shady Maple Smorgasbord banquet facilities in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Doors will open at 7:30 am; speaker program begins at 10 am.

The theme for this year’s trials is “Today’s Poinsettias.”

Participating Poinsettia breeders include: Ball Horticultural Co./ Selecta, Beekenkamp Plants, Dümmen Orange/Ecke and Syngenta Flowers.

In the lecture hall, the breeder representatives will be on hand to discuss how their poinsettias best represent “Today’s Poinsettias.” Large area will again be set up for examination, evaluation and note taking on all cultivars as both shaded and natural season examples.

Plants, speakers and sponsor representatives will all be available throughout the day. Recertification core & category credits will be given for attendees.

These trials are an opportunity to see and compare all poinsettia cultivars, side by side at the largest Poinsettia Trial in Northeast United States.

Lunch will be served in the famous Shady Maple Smorgasbord room.

Cost for entire day’s program is $30.00 for first person and $10.00 for each additional person from the same company.
